WWE legend Jeff Hardy to step away from wrestling due to career-threatening injury

Matt Hardy has given an update on Jeff Hardy’s health. The brothers are currently competing in TNA. The Hardys are still a force to be reckoned with in the tag team division. The legendary team has been giving other teams in Total Nonstop Action a tough time.

Recently, Matt revealed a concerning health update about his brother. Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the veteran said that Jeff has been suffering from a bulging disc for a year now, and he could take some time off in the near future to treat it.

“It’s gonna be interesting to see what my next character is, especially if Jeff takes a little time off to try and work on his neck a little bit. That may be happening. I guess we’ll see. It’s been a year now since he’s had this bulging disc that’s just been bugging him. I think he’s done everything he can do in his power. I think he’s maybe gonna take some time off and just see what he can do to get it fixed up, and correct it as much as possible,” Matt said.

Even after all these years, Jeff Hardy is still as extreme as they come. Recently, a clip from The Hardys’ match against syX at Bound For Glory went viral, where Jeff delivered a Swanton Bomb from the top of a railing through multiple tables.

Jeff Hardy rejected WWE Hall of Fame induction

In an X post, Matt Hardy revealed that WWE had offered Jeff Hardy a Hall of Fame induction to prevent him from going to AEW. However, The Charismatic Enigma decided to reject the offer and joined his brother in the Tony Khan-led company.

“For the record – WWE offered Jeff the HOF because his drug test returned as no drugs – But alcohol was the problem. The WWE wanted to keep Jeff from going to AEW by any means necessary, so they offered the HOF but he had to re-sign. Jeff chose to reunite with me at AEW. #MattFacts,” Matt Hardy said.

Given their accomplishments, The Hardy Boyz are bound to enter the WWE Hall of Fame sooner or later.
