Thierry Henry has backed Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season. He praised their recruitment and believes that no other team can challenge them.
The Gunners have won both their opening Premier League games this season as they look to defend their title. They beat newly promoted Coventry City 3-0 on the opening day. They then faced Aston Villa at Villa Park on Monday. Bukayo Saka’s 59th-minute goal was enough to secure all three points for them.

Ahead of the game, club legend Thierry Henry was asked if his former side would win the Premier League title this season. He said on Monday Night Football:
“Yeah, I think so. You can see what Arsenal are about and what might happen, although you never know what can happen. I just don’t see right now a team that can maybe challenge them, although City won pretty well the other day [against Crystal Palace].”
He praised the Gunners’ transfer business this summer and said:
“Those are very much Arteta signings, players that they liked to have, a centre-back that can play in multiple positions, they’ve signed a hard-working holding midfielder [Bruno Guimaraes]. We all knew that Piero Hincapie was going to stay… [they’ve signed] a new version, a mini version, of Leandro Trossard in Christos Tzolis, hopefully for him.”
Arsenal are second in the Premier League standings after two games, behind Manchester City on goals scored.

The Gunners have signed the likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Christos Tzolis, and Ilan Meslier this summer. Moreover, they have sold the likes of Leandro Trossard and Christian Norgaard. Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli are also set to join Barcelona and Al-Hilal, respectively.
Hence, Arsenal are looking to further strengthen their team on Deadline Day (September 1). According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, they are looking to sign Malick Fofana on Deadline Day.
After their win over Aston Villa, Mikel Arteta was asked if more incomings can be expected at the club, and he said in the press conference:
“As I said, we’re trying to improve the squad – until tomorrow night we’re going to try to do that. I’ve been disconnected from the world for 24 hours because I think my energy probably has to be on the match, but I will get back on it now.”
Arsenal will next face rivals Chelsea in the Premier League at the Emirates on Sunday, September 6.
