Even a personal milestone wasn’t enough for Belal Muhammad to escape Colby Covington’s trash talk. Most recently, Muhammad’s fatherhood announcement became the American’s latest target.
Muhammad recently shared the news and received congratulatory messages from fans and fellow fighters. Covington, however, used the announcement as another opportunity to mock his rival with a series of personal insults.
During the recent RAF 11 press conference, Covington questioned Muhammad’s appearance, stating:
“I just got one question Belal, who the f*ck let you hit? Bro, you’re one of the ugliest motherf*ckers I’ve seen in my life. That girl must look like a gargoyle. Disgusting.”

The pair have traded insults for years, despite never competing inside the cage. Their feud has largely been fueled by repeated callouts, with Muhammad accusing Covington of avoiding a fight while Covington has consistently dismissed Muhammad as an unexciting competitor.
Meanwhile, RAF 11 will be headlined by a crossover championship wrestling match between Covington and UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan. The co-main event features Muhammad taking on former Bellator and ONE champion Ben Askren, who is making his competitive return after recovering from a life-threatening illness and undergoing a double lung transplant.
Colby Covington defended Conor McGregor after his UFC 329 injury loss
Colby Covington struck a very different tone when discussing Conor McGregor’s loss at UFC 329.
In a recent interview with MMA Fighting ahead of RAF 11, Covington refused to criticize McGregor after the Irishman’s comeback ended just 69 seconds into his rematch with Max Holloway due to a knee injury. Instead, Covington praised McGregor for the impact he continues to have on the sport:
“McGregor, he’s the biggest star the sport’s ever seen. He sold a lot of tickets. I think it was the highest gate the UFC’s ever seen, so he boosted the economy for the UFC and for Vegas. Good on him for doing that. The excitement, the electricity that he brings to a UFC arena, that can’t be understated.”
He added:
“McGregor’s still a first-ballot Hall of Famer and the biggest star the sport’s ever seen, so I’m not going to kick him while he’s down. I’m not going to be like that fraud Dustin soy boy, Louisiana swamp trash Poirier. I’m not going to kick him while he’s down, especially a guy that made Dustin’s career.”
