A shopper has been left horrified after opening up her latest Shein order and discovering some creepy critters inside.
In a TikTok clip, she revealed that she found three live worms after ripping open the bags sent from the Chinese budget E-commerce site.
“I can’t make it up”
“I could throw up right now,” she wrote over footage of the creepy crawlies, which are around 5cm long, wriggling around on a plate.
In the comments section, she said she “screamed so loud” and she “swears it’s real, I can’t make it up.”
She also vowed to never order from the website again.
“I dumped the packages out, and they fell out onto my feet and the ground,” she told the U.S Sun.
“I have contacted Shein. They unfortunately told me in emails it’s not their fault and they aren’t liable
“They won’t give me my money back at all, which sucks.”
A reverse image Google search reveals that the worms are Giant Mealworms or Zophobas Morio.
They are often used by zoos or people with fets to feed animals like lizards, spiders or scorpions.
“I’m scared”
“OK, yep, just emptied my cart immediately,” one viewer replied.
“I’m crying right now as my package is out for delivery,” wrote another.
“I’m scared,” a third said, “I just ordered from there.”
“This is yet another sign I shouldn’t buy from Shein,” a different viewer said.
“The gasp I just gusped,” someone else wrote, while another added, “I am screaming.”
“I will be opening all my packages outside from now on,” admitted someone else.
And it seems like it wasn’t an isolated incident.
“This happened to me but with different kind of bugs. I literally died!!!!!” shared one user.
“Mine came mouldy,” another revealed.
Shein responds
A Shein spokesperson told The U.S. Sun: “When we received the customer’s inquiry, we launched an immediate investigation.
“This indicated that when the package completed our quality control process and left our facility, it contained only the Shein items ordered.
“We are in touch with the customer and have offered them a full refund.”
