The Rangers have placed goalie Louis Domingue, defensemen Brandon Scanlin and Casey Fitzgerald, and forwards Anton Blidh on waivers. This quartet is part of the round of cuts that saw 8 reassigned to Hartford earlier today, but needed to clear waivers first. It is highly unlikely any of the four are claimed, with Scanlin being the guy with the most risk of losing.
So far there haven’t been any surprises with the cuts. It’s encouraging to see Matthew Robertson getting a much longer look at camp this time around, though he hasn’t really played much and won’t play tonight.
It still looks like Adam Edstrom and Victor Mancini will be the guys that break camp until the Rangers get healthy.
