Pinterest has renamed some of the campaign objectives in Ads Manager to make it easier for advertisers to understand how each option aligns with specific business goals.
As outlined in the below table, Pinterest is updating the names of its Conversions and Catalog Sales objectives to Leads, Sales and Consideration in different contexts.

Pinterest also shared an updated objective listing to help guide advertiser decisions on which option best suits their aims:

As outlined by Pinterest: “Leads campaigns drive non-transactional outcomes, such as signups and leads. Sales campaigns drive transactional outcomes, such as add-to-carts and checkouts.”
The main focus is on clarifying the purpose of each option and ensuring that Pinterest advertisers can easily determine which campaign is best for their needs.
Pinterest said that advertisers will not experience any performance changes as a result of these updates and campaign ramp times will remain the same, based on creative sources.
“Existing Conversions and Catalog sales campaigns remain editable until April 30, 2027, after which they will be archived,” Pinterest said.
It’s a small change, but one that will be relevant to Pinterest advertisers, as well as those looking to get started with Pin campaigns.
