Simone Biles opened up about adapting a new habit of drinking coffee after hating it for life. The American is currently enjoying her time away from the mat and usually shares her shenanigans on social media.
Biles has been away from gymnastics ever since her performance at the 2024 Olympics. At Paris Games, she won four medals, including three gold medals in the team all-around, individual all-around, and vault. She won a silver medal in the floor exercise, where the gold medal was claimed by Rebeca Andrade.
Even though Biles hasn’t competed in any of the gymnastics events so far, she hasn’t reportedly ruled out her chances of competing at the 2028 Olympics. Amid her downtime, she recently debuted her surprise new habit on her Instagram story. The 28-year-old posted a picture of herself with a glass of ‘blonde roast’ coffee and opened up about how she ended up loving the drink.
“New coffee drinker as of this morning. If you know me you know I HATE COFFEE. but tiktok keeps showing me @home coffee recipes so I figured I’d try & okaaaayyy😍 It’s a blonde roast, give me grace. I’ve always loved the smell & hated the taste. Does this mean I’m officially an adult now?” wrote Simone Biles.

In October this year, the second part of her documentary series, ‘Simone Biles: Rising,’ was released. In the premiere of the series, the gymnast sat for a conversation with the media, where she silenced the questions on her retirement and opened up about her possibility of competing at the upcoming LA Olympics in 2028.
Simone Biles made her feelings known about competing at the 2028 LA Olympics
Simone Biles is the most decorated gymnast of all time. In her illustrious career, she has won 11 Olympic medals and 23 world championships. Amid the speculations of her retirement after the 2024 Summer Games, she opened up about being a part of the 2028 quadrennial event in a conversation with Olympics.com.
Biles revealed that she took a break from gymnastics for her mental health, which, according to her, is as important as physical health. Talking further about her decision, she said:
“Everyone likes to talk about L.A. and what that road looks like for me. So currently, I am taking some time off from the gym because I think it’s really important that your physical health matches your mental health,” Simone Biles said.
Opening up about her presence at the LA Games, she added:
That’s why you saw so much of my success in Paris, because the mental and the physical were right on par. They were right on track with each other, so I think that’s really, really important. I’m not sure what 2028 looks like, but I will be there in some capacity. I just don’t know right now if it’s on the floor or in the stands.”
Simone Biles recently made an honest admission about undergoing three cosmetic surgeries amid her struggles with body image.
