The NY Rangers lines tonight will look somewhat familiar to many, as the 4 forward lines from opening night have been restored by Peter Laviolette. This was a long time coming, as the lines shouldn’t have been blown up to begin with. It created more problems than it solved. With the lines restored, the Rangers can focus on the true issue: Finding the right defense pairs.
As for those defense pairs, Adam Fox and K’Andre Miller, who put up stellar numbers when together, have been reunited. With both looking inconsistent (at best) to in the most recent 7 games, reuniting them was a no-brainer. Zac Jones will stick with Braden Schneider, hopefully as the second pair. That leaves the cringe pair of Ryan Lindgren and Jacob Trouba.
Igor Shesterkin will get the start.
