YouTube and Twitch star Darren “IShowSpeed” has stated that he is “good” and “perfectly fine” after passing out live on stream. On April 29, 2026, a 20-second video went viral on X, showing IShowSpeed passing out during his ongoing Caribbean tour in St. Maarten.
Before the Ohio native appeared to collapse to the ground, he said:
“My head…”
The livestream was then paused for a few minutes.
Hundreds of netizens on the Elon Musk-owned social media platform chimed in on their views on the situation, with one community member expressing their belief that IShowSpeed “really needs to rest” because he has been “pushing too hard.”
“He has been going to more than one island a day since his Barbados visit. He really needs to rest, he is either pushing himself to hard or it is his management. I hope he is okay” X user @Colorousity wrote.
“Best guess, and I hope I’m wrong, is this kid gave himself decompression sickness because he just got certified to scuba dive, doesn’t know the rules, and immediately hopped on a PJ to go to another island, which could be very serious. I hope I’m wrong.” X user @MasterC2222 commented.
“Speed really pushes every stream to the absolute limit bro needs to remember he’s not a superhero sometimes hopefully he’s okay after that St. Maarten incident” X user @Anus40802911 posted.
“Hope he is not been drinking or sleep deprived or did someone slip him something wild.Hope he is okay though .Need to rest from 48hrs non stop stream.” X user @Tonxellade stated.
IShowSpeed does over 50 push-ups after passing out on stream
IShowSpeed addressed the audience about his health at the two-hour-11-minute mark of his livestream from St. Maarten. While claiming that he was “good” and did not want his fans to be worried about the situation, the YouTuber said:
“My fault. My fault. Chat, I’m good. I don’t want to get y’all worried. I just got a little weak. My body is just feeling weird right now. And I’m sorry for collapsing like that on stream. I’m perfectly fine. I don’t want to worry y’all. I’ve got to close after stream, chat. I love y’all so much. Chat, I love y’all. I love y’all. I don’t want to worry y’all. We good, baby. Let’s keep going, chat. Don’t worry about nothing. Come on, bro! Let’s go, bro!”
