Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy did not hold back in calling out the A-listers who supported the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday. On Thursday, he shared a post on social media that targeted singer/songwriter Tate McRae and model Hailey Bieber.
The video posted by Portnoy had both of these celebrities showing up on the Jumbotron during Game 4 of the NBA Finals between the Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs. Both McRae and Hailey Bieber were wearing a Knicks jersey, showcasing their support for coach Mike Brown’s team.
Thanks for the submission!
Portnoy took a jab at these A-listers by asking Grok their birthplace.

According to Grok, McRae was born in Calgary, Canada. Hailey Bieber was born in Tucson, Arizona, but was raised in New York. It seemed like Portnoy wanted to question the authenticity of their support with his post.
Madison Square Garden saw a bunch of other celebrities in attendance supporting the Knicks. 14-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift was also present, repping the team’s color while cheering them on from the stands.
The Knicks, who entered the game with a 2-1 lead in the series, made history on Wednesday. They made an incredible 29-point comeback and secured a 107-16 victory over the Spurs.
Dave Portnoy calls out Taylor Swift for her Knicks fandom during Game 4 of the NBA Finals
On Thursday, Dave Portnoy shared another video on social media. This time, he targeted Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s fiancee, Taylor Swift.
The Barstool Sports owner expressed his dissatisfaction with the Knicks’ comeback victory over the Spurs. Portnoy then called out Swift and questioned her loyalty to the fandom.
“It’s a gloomy rainy day here, and I got to go to confessional,” Portnoy said. “I didn’t sleep last night because of that basketball game. … I don’t know if it’s in my personality. I don’t know if it’s just me being a Boston fan, I hate the Knicks now.
“Like, I’ve always hated New York sports teams. But watching their fans celebrate in that arena, and people who aren’t even, like, basketball fans are like, just, made my skin crawl at a level I can’t even describe. Taylor Swift, … I’m sick of her. Now Kylie (Jenner) is her friend (referring to their hug after the game)? The whole thing. I hate it. I hate it all.”
Previously, Taylor Swift had attended the NBA Eastern Conference finals between the Knicks and the Cavaliers with Travis Kelce. Back then, they supported the Cavaliers, who were eliminated following a 4-0 whitewash by the Knicks.
