CM Punk pulled off a shocking move on WWE RAW. This move left Finn Balor speechless.
On the 19th January episode of RAW, CM Punk defended the World Title against Finn Balor and won. Both men showed respect towards each other after the match. However, Balor attacked Punk following his match against AJ Styles on the 26th January episode of the red brand. This intensified this rivalry further. Last week, Balor managed to get himself another World Heavyweight Championship match against Punk at Elimination Chamber.
Thanks for the submission!
Tonight on RAW, CM Punk addressed his upcoming match against Finn Balor. However, Finn interrupted him along with Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh. Finn made the case for why he is the best wrestler in the world. Punk said that Balor used to mean something but Judgment Day have been dragging him down. Then, in a shocking turn of events, Punk turned his back on Judgment Day asked them to jump him from behind since Finn needs help to prove why he’s the best. JD went to attack the Second City Saint but Balor stopped him. Punk walked out of the ring and left while Finn held JD McDonagh back.
CM Punk opened up about his retirement plans
CM Punk is towards the later stages of his wrestling career. While he is still wrestling, many of his peers like John Cena and AJ Styles have retired. This has gotten the Second City Saint to address his retirement.
During an appearance on No-Contest Wrestling, Punk said he doesn’t like talking about retirement because it isn’t going to happen anytime soon.
“With me, I really don’t know. I almost don’t like talking about it because I don’t think it’s going to be anytime soon. And the way our business is, I like to keep some things shrouded in secrecy and mystery. So we’ll have to wait and see,” he said.
It remains to be seen whether Punk will be able to retain his title at Elimination Chamber.
