Another added, “He unfollowed everything abt the program on instagram like two weeks ago…”
One chimmed in, saying, “Tryna keep him from jumping in that portal huh… prob too late.”
Rumors about Deuce Knight’s future have been rampant in recent weeks. Reports indicate that the promising shot caller is planning to enter the transfer portal after receiving little playing time in the 2025 season.
However, with two games left in the regular season, Auburn is rolling the dice with Knight. It’s a decision that might effectively spell the end of another QB’s time with the Tigers.
Jackson Arnold faces an uncertain future in Auburn
Jackson Arnold arrived at Auburn with loads of fanfare and expectation. Arnold joined after spending two seasons with the Oklahoma Sooners. He was the Sooners’ primary starter in the 2024 season.
It was expected that Arnold’s transfer would bring another dimension to Hugh Freeze’s offense and potentially help the Tigers in their playoff quest. However, this season hasn’t gone to plan for Arnold and his new side.
Arnold started Auburn’s first eight fixtures, but was benched right before halftime of the Tigers’ win over the Arkansas Razorbacks. He hasn’t started a game since, but featured briefly in his side’s loss to the Kentucky Wildcats.
Auburn interim coach DJ Durkin has indicated that Arnold will get some reps against Mercer. However, Durkin opted not to provide further details. It begs the question: where will Arnold be playing in 2026?
