Breiden Fehoko is continuing his post-retirement crusade against the Kansas City Chiefs, and he has even name-dropped the NFL’s GOAT in the process.
Over the past few days, the defensive tackle has been claiming that NFL referees have been rigging games in favor of certain teams. It culminated in an appearance on Jason Whitlock’s “Fearless” podcast on Monday, where he insinuated that the Kansas City Chiefs were receiving “ghost calls” during a game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Thanks for the submission!
His comments led to much blowback, which led him to issue this “clarification” the following day:

“Arrowhead Stadium is the most rigged venue in sports since Tom Brady left Foxboro. It has become a joke, and I believe players who have competed against the Kansas City Chiefs know exactly what I’m talking about.

“Throughout my NFL career, we would have meetings with officials, and coaches would remind us to prepare for the possibility of a call in this game that could shift the momentum in Kansas City’s favor. This wasn’t something we simply ignored. It was something we discussed and prepared for.”
He concluded the statement by harking back to a pivotal call during the 2017-18 AFC Championship Game:
“Myles Jack should have never been ruled down. But when Tom Brady was the face of the NFL, controversial decisions like that only fueled the belief that the league’s biggest stars received the benefit of the doubt.”
Breiden Fehoko expounds on statement about allegations of officials favoring Chiefs
On Wednesday’s episode of “Fearless”, two days after his initial appearance on the show, Breiden Fehoko gave some more thoughts on his social media statement:
“I did not play in Arrowhead, so when I made that statement, I was talking in terms of what 31 other teams, coaches, and players think about it. I am not opinionating of what people think. This is what we talk about. This is what I talk to when I talk to other players. This is what other coaches talk about.”
He continued:
“These fans – they want to hide from the fact that it’s not just about penalties. … You can throw the most penalties on a team, but you have to remember, the certain calls in waiting moments outweigh the magnitude of a five-yard pre-snap penalty.”
Fehoko played five seasons in the NFL before retiring in 2025.
