The Clark County Commission on Tuesday approved the first Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) parade. Dubbed “World Party Paradise,” the free event will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 14, the night before the electronic-music festival. The route will start at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds and head north on the Las Vegas Strip.

According to organizers, the parade will feature two-and-a-half hours of feature DJs, performers, marching bands, and 15 parade floats.
EDC is a three-day festival held annually at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This year, the festival is celebrating its 30th anniversary with more than 200 performers across multiple stages, including Tiësto, Martin Garrix, and Charlotte de Witte.
Organizers say the festival’s 500,000 tickets are sold out, but a waitlist is available for three-day general admission and VIP passes.
