The Adirondack Food System Network has announced the return of the Food Justice Summit, taking place on February 27, 2025, at The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY.
This year’s theme, “Recipe for Resilient Food Systems: Connecting Actors to Action,” focuses on fostering collaboration among food system leaders, advocates, and organizations to drive meaningful change in the region’s food landscape.
The annual Food Justice Summit brings together change makers and stakeholders from across the food system to network, discuss shared challenges, and develop solutions that strengthen food equity, access, and sustainability.
Hosted by the Adirondack Food System Network, this 8th iteration provides a platform for dialogue on key issues affecting food security, agricultural viability, and community resilience.
“The Food Justice Summit is an opportunity to bring together diverse voices to address the complex challenges of our regional food system,” said Josh Stephani, director of the Adirondack Food System Network. “By strengthening partnerships and fostering collaboration, we can create a more resilient and equitable food landscape in the North Country.”
The 2025 summit schedule and speaker lineup will feature experts in food policy, agriculture, nutrition, and sustainability, offering attendees insights into strategies and best practices for building equitable food systems.
Topics will include farm-to-institution programs, rural food access, policy advocacy, funding mechanisms, and food system innovations.
