NY Rangers Game 45: Rangers vs Columbus

The Rangers are alive and breathing. They have a pulse. We can’t say alive and well just yet, as the Blueshirts still have a long way to go, but they’ve put themselves back in the conversation. The upstart Columbus Blue Jackets are red hot right now and actually holding onto the top wild card spot in the Eastern Conference, 5 points up on the Rangers, though the Blueshirts have a game in hand.

Columbus is being carried by the top half of their lineup, notably Zach Werenski. They took a hit with Sean Monahan going down, but they are still humming along. If the Rangers can shut down the top half of the Blue Jackets, they should be able to feast on depth.
