Primate Labs – the makers of Geekbench have introduced a new AI benchmark test called Geekbench AI. It’s available for iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux and will show you how fast your device can handle real-world machine-learning tasks.
The new benchmarking tool was previously known as Geekbench ML during its preview stage and is now available for general use. It asses how the CPU, GPU, and NPU perform in machine learning tasks and bases its score on accuracy and speed.
Geekbench AI for Android and iOS
Each test run on Geekbench AI delivers three scores – single precision, half-precision, and quantized. Scores also have an accuracy measurement to them to see how accurately the models can accomplish tasks and there’s a comparison to relative efficiency over time.
Geekbench AI for Windows and macOS
Geekbench AI supports a multitude of AI frameworks including CoreML for macOS and iOS, OpenVINO for Windows and Linux, QNN for Snapdragon-powered Arm PCs as well as vendor-specific frameworks for Android devices.
Each workload is tested for at least five iterations to ensure devices reach their peak during testing. Geekbench AI is integrated in the Geekbench browser and supports cross-comparisons between devices.
