Lil Baby Drops Pharrell Williams-Produced Single ‘Dead Fresh’


Lil Baby released a new single, “Dead Fresh.” The track was produced by Pharrell Williams, marking the duo’s first-ever collaboration, and premiered at the Louis Vuitton’s Menswear Spring-Summer 2027 show in Paris in June.

“Money coming in, I put my nanny in Chanel/ Made it out the slum, I got my granny pushing a Maybach,” the rapper spits. “If I lose it all, is you gon’ hold it down for real?/ Hold up, hold up, this beat came from Pharrell.”

A music video for the song, directed by Kid Art, which arrive on Monday. The rapper shared a trailer for the video, which features golf, high-end cars, and fashion.

The Louis Vuitton’s Menswear Spring-Summer 2027 show, held at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, showcased several new collaborations by Williams, including tracks from Lil Baby, Quavo, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again. Since being named menswear Creative Director of Louis Vuitton, Williams has used the brand’s shows as an opportunity to premiere new music.

Last year, Lil Baby released WHAM, his fourth studio album. It featured appearances from Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Future, and Young Thug, with 21 Savage taking a subliminal shot at Kendrick Lamar. It marked his first studio effort since 2022’s It’s Only Me. A press release notes that “Dead Fresh” “sets the stage for a grander chapter” in the rapper’s career.

Rolling Stone wrote that “the album is full of these perfectly constructed vibes that make WHAM a strong offering from Lil Baby, whose promised two projects for 2025. So far, he’s off to a good start.”
