The Huawei Mate 90 series is expected to debut in China in October, but early details about the lineup have already begun to surface online. The latest leak sheds light on key camera specifications of the Mate 90 Pro Max.
According to tipster Smart Pikachu, the upcoming Mate 90 Pro Max will feature a dual telephoto camera setup, similar to the Mate 80 Pro Max. However, one of the cameras is said to support 10x optical zoom.

Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max comes with a quad-rear camera setup.
The tipster also claims that Huawei is evaluating a 1-inch type sensor, likely for the primary camera. Additionally, the overall imaging performance of the Mate 90 series is said to exceed expectations. We’re not sure what that means, but we’re excited to find out.
The Mate 90 Pro Max is further rumored to feature a flat display.
Huawei unveiled the Mate 80 Pro Max in China in November last year with dual 50MP periscope telephoto cameras that offered 4x and 6.2x optical zoom. The phone also featured a 50MP main camera with a variable aperture.
