NFL fans react as Panthers sign ex-Packers OT Rasheed Walker for $10M


Free agent offensive tackle Rasheed Walker has found his home for the 2026 season.

According to a tweet by NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Carolina Panthers have agreed to sign him to a one-year deal worth up to $10 million.

“The #Panthers have agreed to terms with OT Rasheed Walker on a one-year deal, per me and @TimPelissero,” Rapoport wrote.

Social media started buzzing with various reactions to this new signing by the Panthers.

Last season, under second-year coach Dave Canales, the Panthers finished first in the NFC South with an 8-9 record. They qualified for the playoffs, but suffered a 34-31 loss to the Rams in a wild-card showdown.

Taking a look at Rasheed Walker’s NFL career

Rasheed Walker player for Penn State during his collegiate career. The Green Bay Packers then drafted him with the 249th overall pick in 2022.

The offensive tackle just played in one game during his rookie debut campaign. That season, the Packers finished third in the NFC North with an 8-9 record.

So far, Walker has spent all four years in the league in Green Bay. He played in 52 games with 48 starts and 2,914 offensive snaps. Last season, he was named the starting left tackle over Jordan Morgan.

The Packers finished the season second in the NFC North with a 9-7-1 record. They qualified for the playoffs, but lost to the Chicago Bears in a wild-card showdown.
