Rashee Rice has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Last month, his ex-girlfriend came forward to accuse the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver of alleged domestic violence. This incident came to light after his previous legal issue when he was involved in a high-speed hit-and-run case in March 2024.
However, amid this new domestic violence accusation, Rice came forward to provide an update on his dating life during Valentine’s Day. On Saturday, he confirmed that he was in a relationship with rapper and internet personality Rubi Rose after the couple posted pictures of themselves on social media.

Last month, Rice’s ex-girlfriend and mother of his two children, Dacoda Nichole Jones, shared a now-deleted post on Instagram. She said that she was an alleged victim of domestic violence and also shared photos of her bruises. While she did not name the Chiefs’ wide receiver directly, she said that the abuser was the father of her children.

Taking a look at Rashee Rice’s 2025 campaign
The Chiefs drafted Rashee Rice with the 55th overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft. During his rookie campaign, he recorded 938 yards and seven TDs receiving while going on to win Super Bowl LVIII with the team.
However, the wide receiver suffered a torn ACL injury during his second year. This limited him to just four games, where he tallied 288 yards and two TDs receiving. Rice was then suspended for the first six games of the 2025 season for being convicted in the hit-and-run case. In eight games, he recorded 571 yards and five TDs receiving.
However, the Chiefs failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2014. They finished third in the AFC West with a 6-11 record. Andy Reid and his team have yet to finalize a decision on whether to extend Rice’s contract amid his legal troubles.
