Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp was a guest on Wednesday’s episode of the “New Heights” podcast.
On the show, Jason and Travis Kelce informed him that retired three-time Super Bowl champion Julian Edelman had a question for him. The ex-Patriots star wanted some supervision on how to use a French Press to make coffee.
Thanks for the submission!
Cooper Kupp laughed and immediately gave up on giving Edelman any form of supervision.

“He’s hopeless,” Kupp said (Timestamp-57:10). “I tried it. I’ve already tried with him. I can’t. I’ve already tried. No, I walked him through it the first time time he showed me he was making coffee. He dang near drank his coffee with just grounds. … He was chewing his coffee basically. … He’s drinking coffee with a spoon.

“You have to measure things. You can’t just like throw it together, right? It’s ratios. You gotta have a feel, you have a little bit of detail. And for Julian Edelman, one of the most detailed receivers to just like, throw things together, oh, it broke my heart. Slow yourself down, Julian.”
Cooper Kupp has been in the NFL since being drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in 2017. He won Super Bowl LVI with them and recorded 7,776 yards and 57 TDs receiving in eight seasons.
Last March, Kupp was released by the Rams. He ended up with the Seattle Seahawks on a three-year, $45 million deal. The wide receiver is gearing up to compete in Super Bowl LX during his debut campaign with the team.

Cooper Kupp shares his thoughts on Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold
Apart from bringing in Cooper Kupp, the Seahawks also signed Sam Darnold as their QB1 for the 2025 season. Despite all the criticism and doubt, he’s been impressive this season, helping them finish as NFC champions and reach the Super Bowl.
On the “New Heights” podcast, Kupp had nothing but praise for his quarterback.
“For Sam Darnold to do what he did going through this time with the Jets, Carolina, all the scarring that happens, that’s like, man, everything is put on your,” Kupp said (Timestamp-40:16). “That’s saying you aren’t this anymore, like you’re not that guy.
“It’s not talked about enough how special and how difficult that is for quarterbacks to do. It’s not an easy thing. And he’s gone against common belief about quarterbacks and how it works. So it’s just special.”
During the regular season, Sam Darnold threw for 4,048 yards and 25 TDs passing.
The Seahawks face the Patriots in Super Bowl LX on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
