Why the f**k are you talking about it?

San Francisco Giants manager Tony Vitello has come under the spotlight after the NL West team’s 3-8 start to the season. The former Tennessee Vols grabbed attention with his comments before Monday’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Giants third baseman Matt Chapman was heard shouting “catch the fu**ing ball” to his teammate last week. Vitello revealed that it wasn’t the only altercation between the Giants players, referencing two other behind-the-scenes incidents.

Fans reacted to the Giants manager revealing the unreported incidents to the reporters.

“Man if something is bad enough that you’re trying to hide it from the press why the fuc* are you talking about it at all?”

“Does he know he can just not say what’s on his mind?”

“By saying that, you’ve no longer kept them from us. Nobody should fuc*ing volunteer info like this to the press, especially the manager.”

“I honestly dont think Vitello makes it through the season. Dude just cant shut up.”

“He’s running a professional baseball team like a college team. That is basically it. And because of his stupid attitude, he’s signing his own walking papers.”

While his comments have sparked backlash from fans, the Giants manager didn’t share the details about the incidents, calling them “harmless.”

“The two behind the scenes were probably less harmless than that (Chapman),” Vitello said. “But because it’s behind the scenes, it doesn’t get a sounding board, and there’s not a chance for everybody to voice their opinion. Which, right or wrong, that’s kind of the way it is nowadays.”
