UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell has inserted himself into the political fallout surrounding the reported joint military offensive by the United States and Israel against Iran.
In a video posted on Instagram following news of the strikes, Mitchell claimed that unnamed forces had started a war with innocent people to cover up alleged crime rings:
“Hey guys, I have great news. These pedophiles have started a war with innocent people to cover up their own crime rings. But, there’s gonna be more bread and circuses, don’t worry.”
He captioned the post:

“Don’t worry, there will be plenty of entertainment for WW3. We can trust the government they would never betray and enslave us.”

The geopolitical situation reportedly escalated in late February with coordinated strikes said to have targeted military and government sites across multiple Iranian cities. Iranian state media and U.S. officials have made conflicting claims regarding casualties and damage.
Reports have also suggested that senior Iranian leadership figures were killed, though independent verification remains limited. Iran has allegedly responded with drone and missile attacks directed at U.S. assets in the region and Israeli territory.
Mitchell has previously drawn scrutiny for controversial political and historical remarks. In 2025, he faced widespread criticism for comments widely condemned as antisemitic and for statements denying well-documented historical events.
UFC CEO Dana White, at the time, publicly criticized the remarks but did not announce disciplinary action. The Arkansas native has also voiced opposition to U.S. foreign policy, particularly financial and military support for Israel and Ukraine.
Mitchell has alternated between wins and losses in his last seven fights, compiling a 4-3 record. He dropped to bantamweight for his last fight against Said Nurmagomedov and won the contest by unanimous decision.
Mitchell currently does not have a fight booked for his return to action. He has indicated that he has one fight remaining on his current contract, but there have reportedly been no public updates regarding negotiations or a potential matchup.
