ONE Fight Night 38: “It feels like home to me”

‘The Queen’ Phetjeeja feels most comfortable when she’s allowed to use every weapon in her arsenal.

The reigning ONE women’s atomweight kickboxing world champion made a devastating statement in her return to Muay Thai competition, stopping fellow former WMC world champion Martyna Dominczak via first-round TKO.

During her post-fight interview with the promotion after her triumph at ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu inside Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium, the 23-year-old explained why fighting under Muay Thai rules brings out her best.

“For Muay Thai, it feels like home to me. I feel a lot more confident when you compare to kickboxing, and I would like to focus on Muay Thai first. So, yeah, I just feel like it’s the rules that I am familiar with and the rules that I am good at,” Phetjeeja shared.

That comfort showed in her clinical finish. The Team Mehdi Zatout product dropped Dominczak three times in the opening round—first with a right hand, then a left hook to the body after catching a kick, and finally with a devastating right punch-right high kick combination that forced the stoppage at 2:46.

Her ability to seamlessly blend punches, kicks, and clinch work demonstrated the complete Muay Thai skill set that’s made her untouchable in the world’s largest martial arts organization.

More importantly, it sets her up for a chance at two-sport glory inside the Circle in 2026.

Phetjeeja’s win should earn her a long-awaited fight vs. Allycia Hellen Rodrigues

Phetjeeja’s radar has always been locked in on one name over the past few years: ONE women’s atomweight Muay Thai world champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues.

And with her win inside the Thai capital last week, which improved her combined kickboxing and Muay Thai resume to 210-6, ‘The Queen’ should have done enough to earn a ticket at two-sport glory against the Brazilian mum-champ.

Like Phetjeeja, Rodrigues is unbeaten in atomweight. The 27-year-old Phuket Fight Club martial artist has won all five of her fights in the weight division, including two back-to-back knockouts of Johanna Persson and Marie McManamon in 2025.
