The Rangers have lost three in a row, pretty much erasing most of the good will they earned in their four game win streak the other week. It’s probably a coincidence, but the Rangers started getting dominated on the ice once JT Miller returned and his usage took priority over the new Mika Zibanejad line. But now with injuries, the Rangers are playing without Noah Laba and the lines have been shaken up.
From a draft position perspective, this is probably a good thing. But the Rangers also want to build a winning environment and teams don’t openly tank. It will be interesting how the remaining 13 games play out as the Rangers do “need to lose” to some teams they are facing in the coming days.
