The Rangers have lost two in a row, but made a major trade last night to hopefully address some scoring woes and get the team moving again. JT Miller is back with the Rangers, costing them Filip Chytil off the main roster. It’s still unconfirmed if Miller will play today, and as of the writing of this post (noon), the lines have not been confirmed. I’m sure Peter Laviolette is waiting for word if Miller will make it in time.
As for the actual game, the Rangers are 5 points back of a wild card spot with 32 games remaining. Boston is one of the teams ahead of them in the standings, and this is as close to a must win as we can get right now. The Rangers need to go on a prolonged run and beat teams ahead of them in the standings. The next week of games before the break is the biggest stretch of the season.
