Samsung typically launches its new foldables in July, which is more than six months ahead at this point, but we have a new report from Korean outlet The Elec suggesting the Z Flip7 will feature Samsung’s upcoming Exynos 2500 chipset. This was allegedly confirmed by a “high-ranking Samsung Electronics official” and it’s not the first time we’re hearing this rumor.
Exynos 2500 will be fabbed on Samsung’s second generation SF3 3nm process. The upcoming chipset is rumored to feature a 10-core CPU with a 3.3 GHz prime core, 2x big cores clocked at 2.75 GHz, 5x big cores clocked at 2.36 GHz and 2x efficiency units clocked at 1.8 GHz. Samsung’s flagship in-house chip is also expected to feature an Xclipse 950 GPU with AMD RDNA architecture.
The latest report suggests Exynos 2500 will enter mass production in early 2025. Samsung is reportedly aiming to produce 229.4 million smartphones in 2025 with the Z Fold7 said to account for 3 million units while the rumored Z Flip FE is said to come in at 900,000 units.
