Ex-WWE star comes out of retirement just 5 months after stepping away from wrestling

A former WWE star who had decided to step away from wrestling a few months ago has already gone back on her word by making her return to the business. WWE ID prospect Zara Zakher stepped back inside the ring to compete for Primal Wrestling merely five months after she first bid goodbye to the industry.

Zakher had joined the global juggernaut’s program to nurture newer talents on the independent scene in 2024. Despite showing tons of promise with her work, things didn’t pan out as expected, and in October 2025, Zara Zakher announced that her contract had expired and wouldn’t be renewed. Alongside that, she also made the shock announcement of her decision to step away from wrestling altogether.

Thankfully, Zara Zakher’s time away from the business has been short-lived, as she returned to competing for Primal Wrestling recently. Following the event, she even dropped a message on her X account, confirming she was back for good.

WWE fans have dealt with several retirements in recent months

Considering how passionate the wrestling fans are for their favorite performers, the retirement of any star is always loaded with emotions. And when those stars are of John Cena and AJ Styles’ stature, the outpouring of love and respect was understandably at an altogether different level. While John Cena bid farewell at SNME 2025 in December, Styles’ final match was at Royal Rumble 2026.

The common factor between their retirements was their opponent, Gunther. The former World Heavyweight Champion has cemented his position as the new career killer in WWE after winning hard-fought contests against the two megastars. If this wasn’t enough, he had also defeated and retired Goldberg earlier in 2025.

Away from the spotlight, another beloved name, Big E, quietly announced that his neck issues will never allow him to compete again. While it was an open secret that his health might not permit him to ever return, the confirmation nonetheless was followed by a wave of heartfelt messages and wishes for the WWE star.
