AEW star Penelope Ford sustained a major injury on tonight’s Dynamite. Despite being an AEW original, she didn’t receive a major push until last year. In 2025, she joined forces with Megan Bayne. The two made a huge impact on the women’s tag team division. However, still couldn’t win the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
The 33-year-old star was enjoying the spotlight until she got injured in October 2025. She tore a ligament and was out for almost three months. She and Megan Bayne continued their pursuit to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship after the injured star returned. However, it seems like she wouldn’t capture the title anytime soon.
Tonight, the MegaBad challenged the Babes of Wrath for the tag titles. During the match, she delivered a moonsault from the top rope onto the ringside area. Unfortunately, it seems like she injured her foot after landing. The match was stopped midway, and she was taken back immediately. She was seen crying after the incident.

Veteran compares Penelope Ford and Liv Morgan
Penelope has taken advantage of the opportunities given to her over the past year. Fans have praised her and her performances.
While speaking on Busted Open Radio, veteran Tommy Dreamer spoke highly of Ford and claimed she is much like WWE star Liv Morgan. He stated that with little other improvement, she could be a top star in AEW.
“I will praise Penelope Ford again. Every time I watch her, that woman improves. I really, really enjoy her. She’s giving me Liv Morgan vibes. She just needs to piece a couple of things together and that woman could be a mega star within the industry. Super athletic, just really has improved every single time I see her. I really enjoy watching her work,” she said.
It will be interesting to see when Penelope Ford returns to AEW.
