The Mumbai Indians (MI) will lock horns with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 20th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. The Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai will host the evening match on Sunday, April 12.
The five-time champions made a stunning start to their IPL 2026 campaign, beating the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by six wickets, but lost to Delhi Capitals (DC) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their last two games. They managed just 162 against DC before failing to chase down 151 in a rain-curtailed match against RR. Having leaked 150 in just 11 overs against RR in their last game, they would be keen to bounce back sharply against RCB.
Like MI, RCB also lost their last game against the Royals. They failed to defend 201 against the Riyan Parag-led side. Having said that, they beat SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their first two games, but leaked over 200 in both these games.
Here are three bowlers who are likely to deliver in the MI vs RCB IPL 2026 match:
Shardul Thakur

Shardul Thakur enjoys an impressive record against RCB in IPL. The medium pacer has bagged 14 wickets in 11 matches at an economy rate of 8.97 against them. He has dismissed Devdutt Padikkal twice in his IPL career.
In the IPL, Thakur has picked up 111 wickets in 108 matches at an economy rate of 9.49, including two four-fers. Overall, in T20s, he has bagged 219 wickets in 191 matches with the help of a five-wicket haul and four four-fers.
Thakur made a stunning start to his MI career, bagging 3/39 against KKR in his opening game of IPL 2026. After managing 0/41 and 1/36 against DC and RR, he would be keen to bounce back sharply against RCB.
Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah is one such bowler who doesn’t rely on conditions to prove his genius. Having bagged 29 wickets in 20 matches, the yorker specialist enjoys a stunning record against RCB in IPL. The 32-year-old has dismissed Virat Kohli five times in his IPL career. After returning wicketless in the first three matches, he will be keen to return to the wickets tally against the Bengaluru-based franchise at home ground.
Bumrah is one of the leading wicket-takers in IPL. He has scalped 183 wickets in 148 matches at an economy rate of 7.26, comprising two fifers and three four-fers. Overall, he has taken 345 runs in 273 T20s at an economy rate of 6.92, including two five-wicket hauls and four four-fers.
Krunal Pandya

Krunal Pandya has a promising record against MI in IPL. The left-arm spinner has bagged eight wickets in seven matches against the five-time winners. In his last game against Mumbai, he returned with figures of 4/45 at Wankhede Stadium. The 35-year-old has been brilliant in the last two matches, returning with figures of 2/36 and 2/30 against CSK and RR, respectively. The Baroda-born all-rounder is on the verge of picking up 100 wickets in the T20 league. He has scalped 97 wickets in 145 matches at an economy rate of 7.51. Last year, he took 17 wickets in 15 games at an economy rate of 8.23 as RCB won their maiden IPL trophy. He will now look to continue his sublime form this season.
