Delaware, your day has finally come. On Friday, August 1, adult-use cannabis sales officially begin across the First State. It’s been a long road since legalization passed in 2023, but now Delaware joins the expanding club of states where adults 21 and older can legally buy cannabis.

Let’s be clear: This is a limited rollout, not a full-blown free-for-all. Sales are only happening at existing medical dispensaries that received conversion licenses. That means 13 shops, scattered from Wilmington to Rehoboth Beach, will be your go-to options for recreational cannabis on day one.
